Time to start the seeds; we are doing Roma tomatoes, yellow pear tomatoes, Lady Alice ( a big heritage type, and attempting a heritage variety of eggplant called black beauty. I think we'll probably end up with an abundance of herbs, (Dill for pickles) and some beans (Flopper likes them); I may attempt cabbage for sauerkraut goodness. The community garden we are trying ot get into is run by a Lutheran church in town and we won't know until April first whether or no we have a plot. If not we may have to use the community garden at my university. In any case I intend to learn how to can things so we don't have a horde of wasted tomatos.
